What you’ll learn

On completion, you will be able to:

Understand the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and Water Byelaws 2014 (Scotland).

Recognise key definitions, legal responsibilities and potential penalties.

Apply requirements to the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of plumbing systems.

Identify methods of backflow prevention and contamination control.

The qualification is assessed by:

A written multiple-choice examination.

 

Duration

The programme is delivered over 1 day in centre, supported by pre-study.
